Registrar Responsibilities in Data Management

Registrars play a primary role in ensuring data accuracy and institutional reporting integrity.

Registrar Responsibilities May Include:

  • Monitoring SIS accuracy
  • Verifying student demographic information
  • Recording grades and credits
  • Maintaining transcript consistency
  • Monitoring graduation tracking
  • Supporting Data Rollup procedures
  • Reviewing reporting errors
  • Coordinating statistical reporting
  • Assisting with accreditation data requests

Note: Schools who are rolling up data via an approved SIS will benefit from data being automatically populated in Accreditrac. Manual entry schools do not receive this benefit and must coordinate with their conference for accreditation data support.

Important: Schools using an approved SIS (AE-Connect, FACTS/RenWeb, or Jupiter) transmit data automatically to Data Rollup. Schools without a compatible SIS must enter Opening and Closing Report data manually via the Data Rollup manual entry portal to meet all reporting obligations.

The registrar should work collaboratively with:

  • Administration
  • Teachers
  • Business office personnel
  • Technology staff
  • Conference and union offices

to maintain accurate institutional records.
