Spirit of Prophecy and Church History Emphasis

The Spirit of Prophecy and Seventh-day Adventist Church history enhance Adventist educational program and can be included in your lesson plans, social studies curriculum, Bible class, or as a part of special school programs. You could also plan a separate week of emphasis during daily worship.

• Early Advent Singing by James Nix. Review & Herald Publishing, 1994. This songbook has 52 early Advent hymns with the history and a story about each one.
• A Star Gives Light. An Adventist African-American Heritage Teacher Resource Guide available from the Southern Union and AdventSource. Conference. Your local union conference of education may also have a copy.
• Pathways of the Pioneers (online) (MP3 download or 22 CD set) produced by Your Story Hour. Review and Herald Publishing, 2007. The set contains more than 100 stories about the people who founded the Adventist Church dramatized by the creative team at Your Story Hour.
• Tell the World, Seventh-day Church in Australia, 2016. Tells the story of the development of the early advent movement and the pioneers.
