Adventist Colleges Abroad (ACA) Credit Guidance
High School Credit
Students participating in approved ACA summer programs may receive:
- 10 semester hours
- Equivalent to 1 Carnegie Unit
College Credit
Eligible students may also receive:
- 6 semester credits
- 9 quarter credits
Dual Credit
Students participating in approved dual-credit opportunities may receive both:
- High school credit
- College credit
Credit awarding remains subject to institutional approval policies.
ACA Transcript Procedures
Official ACA transcripts should be sent directly to the registrar of the student’s home institution.
Schools may accept:
- Official digital transcripts
- Official printed transcripts
Registrars should establish procedures regarding:
- Transcript evaluation
- Course equivalency
- GPA consideration
- World language transcript notation
- Graduation requirement alignment
ACA World Language Credit Guidance
Schools may transcript ACA language coursework even when the language is not offered locally.
Examples may include:
- Italian
- Korean
- German
- French
- Spanish
Registrars and principals should determine:
- Appropriate course titles
- Carnegie unit equivalencies
- Transcript notation procedures
consistent with school policy and graduation requirements.
