Description: Ooltewah Adventist School is seeking a full-time Seventh-day Adventist NAD-certified middle school teacher. The school is located in Ooltewah, Tennessee just minutes from Southern Adventist University and draws on the area’s educational expertise and training opportunities. The school currently serves more than 100 students with a full-time principal, six full-time teachers, support staff, and outstanding support from the church. The school has excellent academics, an active band and chimes music program, and a low student teacher ratio. Candidates should demonstrate a strong relationship with Jesus, model and believe in traditional Adventist life-style values, and have a passion for Adventist education. They should have a keen understanding and ability to work with middle school age students. Skill set should include the ability to select age-appropriate instructional strategies, sound teaching methods, good communication, consistent planning and follow-through, and a positive team spirit. Experience: Minimum: B.S. degree and current NAD Elementary certification. Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy. Must have the legal right to work in the United States and be able to provide evidence of that right if employed.
