Description: The Salmon Adventist School is a one teacher facility in the picturesque recreational town of Salmon, ID situated in a valley along the Salmon River. The school has large classroom with an attached gym, a large kitchen and a teacher workroom/office. The classroom houses a computer center and library. The student body is a nice blend Adventist and Community students. Both the Church and school board are very supportive and see the school as a mission. Salmon is a remote town for people who love the great outdoors with close access to wilderness areas and only four hours from Yellowstone National Park. You will find it a great place to explore and raise a family. The church is full great people with strong work ethics that are valued by this community.
Experience: An applicant must to have current denominational certification and preferability with several years of successful multi-grade teaching., You must have a legal right to work in the US. You will need to plan on obtaining your Idaho State Certification. You should have experience in integrating technology into the curriculum involving students use of it beyond basic keyboarding and word-processing. Applicants need the ability to teach to multiple learning styles and experience in Project-based Learning would be a bonus. Most importantly, applicants need to have a solid active relationship with God and the ability to share it with students.
