Description: Griggs International Academy is in search of a certified Bible teacher to serve our global network of students. The job includes developing the Encounter Bible curriculum for online courses and supporting the design of online courses. The right candidate will have the aptitude to learn how to adapt courses on a Learning Management System (LMS), evaluate and select the faith-based elements in courses, work closely with administration and course manager to support the online course development process, participate in course development committees and professional development conferences. This candidate will need to understand the importance of coordinating work with the NAD schools and individual distance education learners and be available to travel as needed for professional conferences/training. This position is for the Andrews University office location, and candidate will be an employee of Andrews University.
Experience: Having experience working as Bible teacher/Chaplain in an NAD school is a priority. This candidate must be an NAD denominationally certified teacher and at least 3 years’ experience in teaching Encounter Bible curriculum. Masters degree in education is preferred. Having experience in online instruction, videoconferencing, writing curriculum, and project management is important. Being able to interact with students through videoconferencing effectively is extremely valuable. Having a creative mind and willing to try innovative educational strategies within the online framework is a requirement.
