Description: The Department of Curriculum & Instruction at La Sierra University invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position beginning July 1, 2018.
The department offers teacher preparation programs; MA, MAT, EdS and EdD degrees; and contributes to offering the PhD in Leadership. Tenure-track faculty are responsible for teaching; conducting original research; advising; service; and assisting and mentoring graduate students in research and dissertation processes. Some yearly summer session teaching is expected. The department specifically seeks applicants with expertise in any of the following areas: early literacy, secondary teaching, English language learners.
Salary is based on established norms, ranging from $58,370 to $95,472 depending on qualifications, experience and assigned rank, and includes a generous benefits package. Experience: Applicants must have taught successfully for at least five years in a K-12 classroom setting and hold a PhD degree with a specialization in Curriculum & Instruction. Applicants are expected to provide evidence of creative and effective teaching ability. Candidates with a record of scholarly publication will be preferred.
