Description: With primary focus on the Annual Fund, the Annual Fund & Alumni Relations Manager will play a key role in the expansion of the fundraising program and engagement of current students and alumni. Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, the Annual Fund & Alumni Relations Manager will collaborate and partner with WAU leaders, key faculty and staff, to develop strategies, implement tactics, and identify & cultivate volunteers and donors to advance a culture of philanthropy among the university’s key constituencies. The Manager will work to increase WAU’s Annual Fund through increased overall participation rate of WAU alumni in the Alumni Association. He/She will oversee the activities of the Alumni Association, the alumni board of directors and key alumni events, such as reunion activities.
Experience: Bachelor’s degree required,
At least 2 years of development experience, preferably in higher education
Experience in planning and managing special events and fundraising activities
Experience in working with volunteers
Demonstrated ability to strategize, plan, execute and evaluate programs
Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously, with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Preference will be given to WAU Alumni
Ability to work extended hours, with some possible travel (minimum)
