Description: South Atlantic Conference is seeking a passionate, Christian educator to serve in the leadership role of the Associate Superintendent of Education. The Associate Superintendent assists the Conference Vice President for Education in upholding and promoting Christian education throughout the territory of the South Atlantic Conference (Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina). The Associate Superintendent shall assist in providing leadership, vision and strategic direction for curriculum, instruction, assessment, evaluations, school improvement initiatives, and professional development of principals, teachers, and professional staff. In addition, the ideal candidate shall: 1) possess advanced knowledge of the church organizational structure including committee processing, etc. 2) possess ability to develop long and short-term plans and programs to effectively evaluate work accomplishments. 3) possess the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with personnel, and advanced ability to effectively present facts and recommendations in oral and written form. 4) be results-oriented while maintaining a service-oriented philosophy. 5) Lead out in the school and teacher evaluation programs. 6) be independently responsible for duties as assigned. Frequent travel to our 18 schools, scheduled meetings, and assignments is required. The ideal candidate must work well with others, possess advanced interpersonal and sensitivity skills and project a professional, Christian image.
Experience: Minimum of MA in Education and current NAD certification is required. Minimum of 3+ years of demonstrated educational leadership experience in elementary grades. Specific ability-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adapting to changing work priorities; communicating with diverse groups and individuals; meeting deadlines and schedules; setting priorities; working as part of a team; working with detailed information/data; confidentiality; decision making; leadership and direction; and motivating others. Proficiency with technology and computer software including RenWeb and the NAD Dashboard, preferred. Must have and provide evidence of the legal right to work in the United States.
